Hyperledger Bevel LFX Insights page

1. Bevel has received no external contributions; nearly all contributions during this Q4 have come from the Accenture team. Accenture has stopped maintaining the project actively, project is currently maintained through individual maintainer contributions.
2. Community engagement and interest continue to thrive, as reflected in discussions and inquiries on the Discord channel.
3. Bevel is being currently used/proposed as deployment automation framework for multiple banking and manufacturing organisations’s blockchain projects.
4. As a result of the above there could be possible contributions, provided that the orgs agrees to open source code enhancements done on Bevel.

Releases

Releases past quarter:

• Bevel Release v1.2.0

• Bevel Fabric Operator v1.11.0

Overall Activity in the Past Quarter

• We are working on improvements to the proxy/vault and no-proxy/no-vault options to deploy DLT Networks. Besu charts have been remarkable enhanced, and as external organizations are using Bevel, we will continue to improve them over the next months.
• AWS secret manager research and integration has been completed.
• Other minor fixes for Fabric and Quorum DLT deployments.

For Bevel Operator Fabric

• Fabric 3.0 support.
• New CDRs developed to install, approve and commit chaincode.
• Bug fixes.

Current Plans

• Analyze and evaluate whether to update the Besu Helm charts once the new transaction manager, which will replace the current one, is developed. We are awaiting updates from the Besu team.
• Work on Fabric bugs the community has been reported during the past few months.
